SafeMobile Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy applies to your use of all products, services and websites offered by SafeMobile, such as LINX and CYRN, unless they have a different privacy policy. Because some apps require additional information, or use information in different ways, they may have their own privacy policies and/or terms and conditions. These apps may also offer you additional choices for managing your personal information with regard to GDPR in Europe, where applicable.

Our privacy commitments:

  • We don’t sell your Personal Information to anyone for any purpose.
  • We keep your Personal Information in our business records while you are a customer, or until it is no longer needed for business, taxes, or legal purposes.
  • We will keep your information safe using encryption and other appropriate security controls.

The information we collect:

  • Account Information includes your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, service-related details such as payment data, pass codes, service history and other customer or partner account information of the same nature;
  • Network Performance & Usage Information tells us how you use our systems, our products and our services, and how well our equipment and products are performing;
  • Web Browsing & Wireless Application Information tells us about the websites of ours you visit and the mobile applications you use on our systems;
  • Location Information tells us where your wireless device is located, as well as your ZIP-code and street address where applicable, when this feature is enabled by the customer or partner;

Three basic ways we collect your information:

  • We obtain info from you when you partner with or make a purchase from us;
  • We collect info from how you use our products and services;
  • We obtain information from other sources, like search engines, marketing companies, and other service provider affiliations.

Some of the ways we use your information:

  • Provide services and improve your customer experience;
  • Send you bills for your services;
  • Respond to your questions;
  • Address system or product integrity, help in troubleshooting network and device issues;
  • Do research and analysis to maintain, protect, develop and improve our products and services;
  • Let you know about service updates, content, offers, promotions and events that may be of interest to you;
  • Improve service options;
  • Deliver Relevant Advertising;
  • Create Marketing & Analytics Reports;
  • Assist in the prevention and investigation of violations of our Non-disclosure Agreements, Trademarks, Patents, Terms and Conditions of Service or Acceptable Use Policies.

  • Across our companies to give you the best customer experience and to help you get everything we have to offer.
  • Other, non-SafeMobile contracted companies that perform services on our behalf, only as needed for them to perform those specific services. We require them to protect your information in strict consistency with our Policy.
  • With other companies and legal entities, to:
    • Comply with court orders and other legal process;
    • Enforce our agreements and property rights;
    • Obtain payment for products and services including the transfer or sale of delinquent accounts to third parties for collection

Understanding Personal, Anonymous & Aggregate Information

  • What is Personal Information? Information that identifies or reasonably can be used to identify you.
  • What is Anonymous Information? This is information that doesn’t identify you and can't reasonably be used to identify you specifically.
  • What is Aggregate Information? We take a group of people’s data and combine it into anonymous groups or categories.
  • How do we use this information? We use and share this information in many ways including research, analysis, retail marketing, and advertising. This data is also included in External Marketing & Analytics Reports.

Our Online Privacy Policy for Children

  • Our products and services are intended for adult professionals in business environments. We don't knowingly collect personally identifying information from anyone under the age of 13 unless we first obtain permission from the child's parent or legal guardian.

SafeMobile Mobile Application Privacy Policy

LINX PTT ("LINX", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("users" or "you"). This Privacy Policy applies to the LINX PTT mobile application and any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by LINX (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Introduction

At SafeMobile, we understand the importance of data privacy and security. We are committed to protecting the information of our customers and do not sell any data to third parties for any reason.

We understand that the data collected through our enterprise application may be sensitive and should only be used to improve the user experience for our customers. Rest assured, we take the protection of your data very seriously and have implemented robust security measures to ensure its confidentiality and integrity.

Permissions within the LINX PTT mobile application:

As part of the LINX PTT mobile application, we may request certain permissions from your device in order to provide certain features and functionality. These permissions may include access to your device's microphone, camera, location, and other data. Please note that the acceptance of these permissions is not required in order to use the LINX PTT mobile application. Your employer has chosen to provide you with access to the app and you are under no obligation to accept any of the permissions.

Please be aware that certain features and functionality of the LINX PTT mobile application may be limited or unavailable if you choose not to accept certain permissions. If you have any questions or concerns about the permissions requested by the LINX PTT mobile application, please contact your employer's IT or security team.

LINX PTT is a business communication and safety application, and your employer provides you with your login credentials. LINX PTT/SafeMobile do not know any personally identifying information about individual users of the LINX PTT mobile application.

Information Collection and Use:

We collect and use your personal information to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Please note that if you are using our application on a device provided by your employer, they may have certain restrictions on its use which we do not know or control. As a mobile application user, we only provide the account and login credentials at a company level to the LINX account administrator. We do not collect or have access to any personally identifiable information about individual employees, such as names or contact information.

Information you provide to us:

This includes information you provide when you register to use the Service, download the Service, and when you report a problem with the Service.

Information we collect about you:

We may collect and process information about your use of our Service, including the type of device you use, your device's unique ID (if IMEI is used for login authentication by your company), the IP address of your device, your device's operating system, usage data, and location data. All of this information is used to ensure quality of service.

  • Account Information includes your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, service-related details such as payment data, pass codes, service history and other customer or partner account information of the same nature (this applies to the corporate account, i.e. the company, not to individual mobile app users);
  • Network Performance & Usage Information tells us how you use our systems, our products and our services, and how well our equipment and products are performing;

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON YOUR INTERNAL COMPANY POLICIES AND LINX

LINX PTT is a communication and workforce management platform that is primarily used by organizations and companies. As such, the app's functionality and usage may be subject to the policies and guidelines set by the user's employer. While LINX PTT takes the privacy and security of its users seriously, the app may be configured and administered by an authorized representative of the user's company, who has the ability to change certain settings and access certain data.

It is important to note that LINX PTT's privacy policy may not align with the policies and guidelines of the user's employer. Any specific questions or concerns regarding the use of the app within the context of the user's job function should be directed to the appropriate internal teams within the user's company.

LINX PTT is not responsible for any actions or policies of the user's employer, and the user should consult their employer's internal policies and guidelines regarding data privacy and security before using the app.

Our Online Privacy Policy for Children

If you are under 13 years of age, you are not permitted to use our mobile application or services, or provide any personal information to us. Prominent Disclosures for Google Play Store and Play Console:

IMAGE UPLOADING

LINX PTT allows users to capture and upload images for the purpose of providing file-sharing functionality within the app. However, before capturing or uploading any images, users must first opt-in and accept the camera and file storage permission requests within the LINX app. Users have the option to deny these permission requests. Images uploaded by the user are only shared within their account with the specific recipient they select, and all data transmissions are encrypted and stored on our secure server. LINX does not require users to upload images to use the Service and you may deny the camera and file storage permission request, but this will prevent you from using this particular application functionality.

AUDIO / MICROPHONE

LINX PTT uses your device's audio and microphone to facilitate push-to-talk communication and call recording. By downloading and using our app, you consent to the use of your device's audio and microphone. All audio transmissions are encrypted and stored on our secure server. You may choose to deny the microphone permission request, but this may limit the functionality of the app. We take user privacy seriously and have implemented strict security measures to protect user data. CAMERA FOR VIDEO

LINX PTT may use your device's camera to facilitate video streaming and image sharing within the app. By downloading and using our app, you consent to the use of your device's camera. All video and image transmissions are encrypted and stored on our secure server. You may choose to deny the camera permission request, but this may limit the functionality of the app. We do not use or share any images or videos taken by the camera outside of the app without your explicit consent.

GPS FOR LOCATION

LINX PTT uses your device's GPS and location services to facilitate live tracking and geofencing within the app. By downloading and using our app, you consent to the use of your device's GPS and location services. All location data transmissions are encrypted and stored on our secure server. You may choose to deny the location services permission request, but this may limit the functionality of the app. We do not use or share your location data outside of the app without your explicit consent. If you have any concerns or questions about our use of GPS and location services, please contact us at marketing@safemobile.com.

BLUETOOTH FOR ACCESSORIES AND PANIC BUTTON

LINX PTT may use Bluetooth technology to facilitate communication with compatible devices and accessories, such as wearable safety devices and PTT accessories. By downloading and using our app, you consent to the use of Bluetooth technology. All data transmissions over Bluetooth are encrypted and stored on our secure server. You may choose to deny the Bluetooth permission request, but this may limit the functionality of the app. We do not use or share any data transmitted over Bluetooth outside of the app without your explicit consent. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
